DONOR SCREENING AND TESTING

Alamo Tissue Service donor tissues meet all required FDA screening and testing.
Potential donors undergo an exhaustive medical and social history screening.  This is
done preliminary to being considered as a prospective tissue donor for our customers.

All testing is performed in FDA-approved, Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments
(CLIA) certified laboratories.  A  list of tests includes:

HIV Type 1 and 2
HCV
HBsAg
Anti-HBc
HTLV 1 and 2
Syphilis
ABO/Rh
HIV and HCV(NAT)
Aerobic, anaerobic, and fungal cultures
